Meet the Teachers
Infant Room:
Ms. Kathy has been with Ms. Darlene’s since 2018. In that short time all of the children and teachers have grown to love her. Her smile and patience really makes an impact in the infant classroom.
1’s & 2’s:
Ms. Mayra is our lead teacher in the one year old classroom. She lives in Nashua, NH with her parents and 3 siblings. She also has 3 dogs. She graduated from Plymouth State University in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education with a teacher certification PreK-Grade 3.
For as long as she can remember she has always wanted to be a teacher. She loves working with young children and being able to be a role model for them. She loves to be a person that they can look up to and ask for guidance. She has worked many years with children from a variety of age groups either as part of her job or being a practicum student while attending school. She volunteers at her parish as a catechism teacher and has been doing that for the past 4 years.
When she is not at work teaching young children, she is spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, spending time outdoors and traveling.
Ms. Kim is a Maine native with a BFA in Drama from Boston Conservatory of Music. She comes to us from Redeemer Lutheran Child Development Center in Richmond, VA as an Assistant Teacher. She has teaching experience in a variety of areas such as swim instruction for children and adults, warm water aerobic instructor, director/ teacher for Drama Kids International as well as coordinating and teaching for Sunday School and Vacation Bible Schools. She also homeschooled all four of her children from Pre-K through High School. Ms. Kim believes she was blessed to be able to stay at home with her children and wants to help create a place where parents who have to work feel their children will be loved and well-cared for.
Ms. Jolene is our lead teacher in the two year old classroom! She began her teaching career with Ms. Darlene’s in 2002, before establishing her own family childcare while raising her three boys. She is a fun loving, creative teacher who enjoys inspiring the children in her classroom.
Ms. Jocelyn A. is one of our assistant teachers. She is currently working towards an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves working with the kids and helping them to learn. Her favorite day of the week is art day and seeing the excitement that the children have for the crafts and the projects that they make. She currently helps out in all of our classrooms, wherever she is needed.
Preschool:
Ms. Jocelyn S. is our lead teacher in the Preschool class. She graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 2017. She is currently working towards her associates degree in college. She has been working with us since October of 2016. Ms. Jocelyn shadowed our Assistant Director, Ms. Michlyn, in the Preschool Class for almost three years before becoming the lead teacher. She thoroughly enjoys doing Science Experiments with the kids, watching them learn and grow!
Ms. Maria H. Has been with Ms. Darlene’s since 2015 and has worked with all different ages. Her heart for the children shines bright; you will often times hear: “Ms. Maria!” exclaimed by many children when she walks into the room. She has a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts/Psychology. When she is not teaching she is spending time with her husband and daughter.
Pre-K & Kindergarten:
Ms. Darlene has owned and operated a childcare facility for over 30 years. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education along with Water Safety, Nutrition, C.P.R. and First Aid. Ms. Darlene has taken many classes over the course of her 30 years so she can help enrich and encourage children. Ms. Darlene’s main goal is to help each child reach their full potential and have fun while doing it.
Ms. Michlyn Has been teaching and helping children learn and grow for over 19 years. She has her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Middlesex Community College and her bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration from UMass Amherst. Her goal in teaching young children by helping them learn and grow to be the best person they can be; socially, emotionally, and academically! There is nothing more rewarding for her than a child excited to learn!
Substitutes:
Ms. Carolyn has over 23 years experience working with children. She specialized in working with children with severe behavioral disorders. She is trained in violent behavior control as well as CPR/First aid certified. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children and grandson. She volunteers at Crawford Nursing Home and her churche’s food pantry. She has coached soccer as well as T-ball and softball and volunteers as a mentor for foster children whenever possible.
Ms. Denise comes to us with lots of experience, she was the owner and director of her own childcare center in California. She has children and also fosters children.
